Providence Township Fire & Rescue has helped me begin a career that I love. I learn from great people from very diverse backgrounds and previous experiences, helping me gain some confidence in my skills both as a firefighter and EMT.

Providence Township Fire & Rescue provides 24/7 coverage with the help of part-time Fire & EMS professionals.

​We are always seeking new hard-working individuals, that wish to start their career in the fire service out of school or are looking to enhance their income. 
The fire and rescue department provides the following flexibilities for its employees:

• Flexible scheduling - Work any day, no set shift rotations!
• 12 and 24 hour tours available. 
• In house monthly trainings for fire and EMS.

Providence Township Fire & Rescue has set forth the following minimum qualifications for the position of part-time firefighter and EMS professional:

• Valid State of Ohio Firefighter Level 1 Certification
• Valid State of Ohio EMT-B Certification
• Valid Driver License in the state in which you reside.
• Must be able to provide a minimum of 24 hours a month of duty hours.

Pay is based on experience and certification level. Those seeking employment will be subject to a physical including drug testing and a criminal background check.
